WELCOME TO WREXHAM u3a
Not Wrexham Football Club (for those of you familiar with the TV series) but a different kind of club. Our club is a group of retired or semi-retired people learning to learn, laugh, live which is our u3a motto. We do this by providing a friendly, learning environment where you can meet socially, develop new and existing interests and acquire new skills and knowledge. We have over 400 members who enjoy over 40 interest groups.
Why not become a member and start making new friends, learning new skills and experiencing new interests. There is no age limit, just not being in full time employment with time on your hands to have fun. No qualifications are needed or offered - we simply share our knowledge and experience and learn together.
We’re all volunteers and we welcome new members especially if you feel you have a skill or idea that you want to share. If you think this is for you then please join here. Join Wrexham u3a
Want to try before you join? You will be made most welcome at up to two meetings eg a Monthly Meeting and a Group Meeting of your choice. Contact the group leader in advance to check they have space - details in the groups list.

Over a hundred members of Wrexham u3a celebrated the 20th Anniversary of the inaugural meeting on Tuesday 17th February at Wrexham's Memorial Hall, where our President and founding member Derrick Gwilliam invited all to join in a toast to the next decade.
Four founding members were given Honorary membership of Wrexham u3a, Derrick Gwilliam and his wife Bridget, Mary Woolley and Pauline Jones.

Three speakers addressed the members during the afternoon, Hilary Jones (Chair North Wales Network) - ‘What the u3a can offer its members’; Derrick Gwilliam – ‘How Wrexham u3a was formed’ and Roz Benney – ‘A Walk through Wrexham’
