This month Dr Graham Arthurs will give a talk about morphine, named after Morpheus, the ancient Greek god of dreams and used as a very good drug for the relief of severe pain . The talk explores the use of morphine through history, other uses that have been made of the drug and the search for a 'safer' drug.
